I finally managed to update my blog to the new Drupal version (which is currently still in beta). And to reflect the name change from timcn.de to kkaefer.com, I also made a new theme.
As you may have noticed, I intend to blog in English starting from now. This has several advantages:
- The audience is a lot bigger. In the last couple of months I felt the urge to write in English instead of German so that some folks I know from the internet (especially through Drupal) can also read what I’m writing.
- I don’t have English lessons at school anymore. That means that I’ll need some practice as I don’t want to forget all of what I’ve learned. And I found blogging to be a quite good training.
On the other hand, I plan to write blog entries for the future Webkrauts Meta blog (a kind of “blog” with all relevant articles from Webkrauts members, automatically aggregated). That means, you’ll see some German blog posts as well from time to time. To solve the problem of mixed language content, I’ll review some of the i18n modules available for Drupal in the next couple of weeks.
